By booking a tutoring session or purchasing a tutoring package through Maths With Hanaa, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Maths With Hanaa

Maths With Hanaa provides private mathematics tutoring for students and learners of all ages and abilities.

Tutoring may be provided:

• Online, using an agreed online meeting platform; or
• In person, where the student is located within a suitable distance of the tutor and an in-person arrangement has been agreed in advance.

In-person tutoring is subject to availability and location. Not all locations will be eligible for in-person tutoring.

Maths With Hanaa operates as a sole trader under the name Maths With Hanaa.

2. Booking Sessions

All tutoring sessions must be booked through the official booking system provided by Maths With Hanaa, currently TidyCal.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate information, including the student's name, contact details and any relevant information needed to provide the tutoring service.

A booking is considered confirmed once the booking has been successfully made and payment has been received.

Tutoring sessions are subject to availability. Making a request does not guarantee that a particular date or time will be available.

3. Payment

Payment is required before each tutoring session.

Maths With Hanaa currently offers the following pricing:

• Single session: £35
• 4-session package: £120 (£30 per session)
• 12-session package: £300 (£25 per session)

For tutoring packages, bookings are managed through TidyCal. TidyCal records the number of sessions included in the selected package and charges the applicable per-session package rate when each session is booked.

For example:

• A 4-session package costs £120 in total, with £30 charged for each of the four bookings.
• A 12-session package costs £300 in total, with £25 charged for each of the twelve bookings.

The full package amount is therefore not charged in one payment at the time the package is selected. Instead, payment is processed on a session-by-session basis through the booking system.

Prices may be changed in the future. Any change in pricing will not affect bookings that have already been made at the previous price.

4. Tutoring Packages

Maths With Hanaa currently offers 4-session and 12-session packages.

When a package is selected through TidyCal, the booking system keeps track of the number of sessions included in the package. Each time a session is booked, the relevant package rate is charged until all sessions included in the package have been used.

The package rates are:

• 4 sessions: £30 per session (£120 total)
• 12 sessions: £25 per session (£300 total)

There is currently no fixed expiry date for unused sessions within a package.

However, unused sessions remain subject to the continued availability of Maths With Hanaa. If there are significant changes to the tutoring service, reasonable arrangements will be made regarding outstanding sessions.

Packages cannot be transferred to another person unless this has been expressly agreed in advance.

If a package has not yet been started, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with the Refunds section of these Terms & Conditions.

Once a package has been started, unused sessions are generally non-refundable unless Maths With Hanaa agrees otherwise or a refund is required by law.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, at least 24 hours' notice should be provided.

Where at least 24 hours' notice is given, the session may be rescheduled or otherwise dealt with in accordance with the applicable booking arrangements.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, the session may be treated as a completed session and the payment will normally not be refunded or credited.

This is because tutoring time is reserved specifically for the student and late cancellations can prevent the time from being offered to another student.

Exceptional circumstances

Maths With Hanaa understands that unexpected circumstances can occur.

At the tutor's discretion, exceptions may be made where there are genuine and unavoidable circumstances, particularly where it would be unreasonable to apply the cancellation policy strictly.

Any exception is made at the tutor's discretion and does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund or rescheduled session.

6. Punctuality and Late Arrivals

Students are expected to attend their tutoring session at the scheduled time.

The session will normally end at the originally booked time, even if the student arrives late.

This is particularly important where another student's lesson is scheduled immediately afterwards. Extending one session could otherwise unfairly reduce the time available to another student.

Where the tutor has no subsequent commitment and circumstances make it reasonable to do so, the tutor may choose to provide additional time for a late arrival. This is entirely at the tutor's discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

Students should therefore aim to arrive or join the online session a few minutes before the scheduled start time.

7. Missed Sessions and No-Shows

If a student does not attend a scheduled session without providing the required notice, the session may be treated as having taken place and will normally not be refunded or rescheduled.

For package customers, a missed session may count as one of the sessions included in the package.

If the tutor is unable to provide the session due to circumstances on the tutor's side, the session will be rearranged or otherwise dealt with appropriately.

8. Respect and Appropriate Behaviour

Maths With Hanaa is committed to providing a respectful, welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Students and parents/guardians are expected to treat the tutor with courtesy and respect.

Disrespectful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Where serious or repeated inappropriate behaviour occurs, Maths With Hanaa reserves the right to end a tutoring relationship.

Where a session is ended because of serious inappropriate behaviour by the student or their parent/guardian, a refund will not necessarily be provided.

9. Parents and Guardians

For students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for making the booking and providing consent for the student to receive tutoring.

The parent or guardian is also responsible for ensuring that the information provided during booking is accurate.

Parents and guardians should ensure that younger students are appropriately supervised where necessary, particularly for online tutoring.

For safeguarding reasons, Maths With Hanaa may communicate with a parent or guardian regarding a student's tutoring arrangements where appropriate.

10. Tutoring Results

Maths With Hanaa aims to provide high-quality, personalised tutoring and to support students in developing their mathematical knowledge, confidence and skills.

However, tutoring cannot guarantee a particular grade, examination result, qualification or academic outcome.

A student's progress depends on a range of factors, including attendance, effort, independent study, prior knowledge, engagement and the requirements of their particular course or examination.

11. Learning Materials and Intellectual Property

Any original teaching materials, explanations, resources, exercises or other content created by Maths With Hanaa remain the intellectual property of Maths With Hanaa unless otherwise stated.

At present, Maths With Hanaa does not provide a separate library of downloadable worksheets. If resources are provided as part of tutoring in the future, they are intended for the student's personal educational use.

Materials must not be reproduced, sold, distributed, uploaded publicly or used commercially without prior permission.

12. Recording of Sessions

Tutoring sessions will not be routinely recorded.

A session may only be recorded where this has been discussed and expressly agreed in advance by the tutor and, where the student is under 18, the relevant parent or guardian and student.

Any recording must only be used for the agreed educational purpose, such as allowing the student to review a lesson.

Recordings must not be shared publicly, uploaded to social media, distributed to other people or used for commercial purposes without appropriate permission.

13. Online Tutoring and Technical Problems

For online tutoring, students are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and any required software or applications.

If a technical problem prevents the student from attending or substantially disrupts a session, the tutor will use reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.

Where the technical problem is outside the tutor's control, Maths With Hanaa cannot guarantee that additional tutoring time will be provided.

Where a technical problem on the tutor's side prevents a session from taking place, reasonable arrangements will be made to reschedule the session.

14. In-Person Tutoring

In-person tutoring is offered only where the student's location is reasonably close to the tutor and where the arrangement is practical.

The availability of in-person tutoring may vary depending on location, travel requirements and the tutor's schedule.

An in-person booking is not confirmed until the location and arrangements have been agreed.

15. Refunds

Where a session or package has not yet started, a refund may be requested.

For tutoring packages, a refund may be provided where the package has not yet been started, subject to any applicable legal rights.

Once a package has been started, unused sessions are generally non-refundable unless Maths With Hanaa agrees otherwise or a refund is required by law.

Late cancellations and no-shows are generally not eligible for a refund.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of students is extremely important to Maths With Hanaa.

Appropriate professional boundaries will be maintained during tutoring sessions.

Where a safeguarding concern arises, Maths With Hanaa may take appropriate action, including communicating with a parent or guardian or, where necessary, making a referral to an appropriate organisation or authority.

17. Privacy

Personal information provided when booking a session will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

Information will be used where necessary to:

• arrange and provide tutoring;
• communicate about bookings;
• process payments;
• maintain appropriate business records; and
• meet legal or safeguarding obligations.

Maths With Hanaa will not sell students' or parents' personal information.

A separate Privacy Policy may provide further information about how personal data is collected, used and stored.

18. Website Content

The content published on the Maths With Hanaa website, including text, branding, images and original educational content, is provided for informational and educational purposes.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, republish or commercially use original website content without permission.

Every effort is made to keep website information accurate and up to date, but Maths With Hanaa does not guarantee that all website content will always be complete or error-free.

19. Changes to the Terms & Conditions

Maths With Hanaa may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the tutoring service, booking arrangements, pricing or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this website.

The Terms & Conditions that apply to a booking will generally be those in effect at the time the booking is made.

20. Ending the Tutoring Relationship

Either the student/parent or Maths With Hanaa may decide to stop arranging future tutoring sessions.

Any outstanding payments, cancellation charges or other obligations that arose before the tutoring relationship ended will remain payable where applicable.

Where a student or parent behaves inappropriately, fails to make required payments, repeatedly fails to attend sessions or otherwise breaches these Terms & Conditions, Maths With Hanaa may refuse future bookings or end the tutoring relationship.

21. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any rights that you have under UK consumer protection law.

Where a provision of these Terms & Conditions conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the relevant legal requirement will take precedence.

22. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the applicable courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
